I long for my epitaph to read “He experienced life”.
Life for me has been a story born out of a medley of cumulative experiences: some good, some not so good and some bad. But out of every experience and interaction there is a learning to imbibe.
I have been fortunate to have been born and raised in a closely knit professional family in India. Growing up in India in 1970s and 1980s, I was a fortunate to witness a period of sea change. The growing years gave me some of the closest friends in school, in college and in the neighbourhood. Friends who have helped shape my thinking and even after years the bond with them only grows stronger.
I have been fortunate to go to academic institutions where one realises what absolute brilliance and genius is all about, which helps you to be modest lifelong and always know there are better folks than you out there.
I have been fortunate to meet work colleagues and peers over three decades who have helped me shape my professional thinking and I have constantly learnt watching them. Some of the biggest learnings have come from the young who I always love to spend time with.
I have been fortunate to have married to someone who has been a friend, a critic and an afflatus for me to achieve more.
I have been fortunate to have a son who has turned out to be young, sensitive young man charting his way in the world.
I have been fortunate to that my job is my passion and every minute even in the worst adversity, I enjoy it.
I have been fortunate to traverse the globe and see the world.
